Paul M French, PPS

      Chief Executive Officer

 Over twenty years of management experience in military, law enforcement and corporate environments, Mr. French has provided security management expertise, established and managed personal protection programs, overseen multi-national project management and consulting assignments. He has developed, implemented and been selected to evaluate Presidential level close protection and their training programs. Mr. French has provided personal protection to Royal Families, United States Presidents, numerous dignitaries, celebrities and corporate executives throughout the world. Under his leadership Paul French International, Inc has provided investigative support and advice to legal counsel and the senior management of domestic and international corporations in various situations ranging from extortion and product tampering to planning and coordinating the security arrangements for business operations in high threat locales. Since 9-11 Paul French International’s team has worked with numerous agencies to counter the threat from terrorism, including law enforcement, corporate clients, The Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration. His understanding of the needs of today’s airports and seaports for improved security is greatly enhanced by Paul French International’s business relationship with commercial and private aviation, as they plan to meet today’s increased need for cost effective security measures.

 

Peter J. Gravett, Major General, USA (Ret.) 

     Executive Vice President Government Services

 

Major General Peter J. Gravett, has over 43 years of service with the United States Army and National Guard and is a graduate of the United States Army War College. He most recently served as the commander of the 40th Infantry Division (Mechanized), the nation’s largest reserve forces unit, headquartered at the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Center in California.  General Gravett has had assignments throughout the world and served as senior NATO military representative in Kiev, Ukraine.  Additionally, he served twenty-two years with the Los Angeles Police Department before returning to active duty in the US Army.  He earned his bachelor’s degree at California State University, Long Beach and a master’s of Public Administration from the University of Southern California.  In addition, he is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy and holds a diploma in Executive Law Enforcement from the University of Virginia. General Gravett is a graduate of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and holds a diploma in International Security Affairs.  General Gravett holds advanced security clearances.  Peter serves as PFI’s Executive and Military liaison decision-maker.  

 

Michael R. Mittleider, CDR, USN (Ret.)

     Executive Vice President Special Projects

 

Michael R. Mittleider has had thirty-six years of increasing management responsibility in military, manufacturing, and consulting engineering organizations.  In the Navy he trained in nuclear power, advanced electronic and weapon systems and served as the Navy's Environmental Manager for the Pacific Fleet.  He was the staff planning and policy officer for all Navy classified programs and drafted the Extended Planning Annex to the Navy budget. Michael was the Joint Staff Officer for force structure on the Joint Staff for General Colin Powell and Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney.  He commanded the first Navy destroyer to integrate women into the crew of the USS Kinkaid (DD-965).  As a Division Operations Officer for a major manufacturing firm, he led the engineering team to design a lean and agile manufacturing plant.  This included equipment design, supply management and product distribution.  As the Operations Officer, he brought the division to profitability in less than three years. CDR Mittleider has held top secret and other clearances.  As Senior Vice President of a nationwide consulting engineering firm he managed the operations of a five state area. This involved direct supervision of Vice Presidents, District Managers and Office Managers of a $275 million dollar organization.  Michael has an MBA and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mississippi, and a Master of Arts in National Strategic Planning and International Politics from the U.S. Naval War College. Mike provides PFI with strategic direction and managerial policy.  

 

Dr. John N. Ellison

    Executive Vice President / Chief Strategist

 

John N. Ellison, DBA, has extensive senior executive experience in government, industry, and academia covering a wide span of national security public policy and strategic planning activities.  In his government career, Dr. Ellison served as faculty member and Associate Dean of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and as principle academic officer of the National Defense University, the nation’s highest level military institution. In these assignments his duties included responsibilities for leadership development, curriculum design, and teaching involving all aspects of national security policy, defense industry, and the nexus between global economics, technology, intelligence and defense strategy.  He has also served as Director of the National Mobilization Concepts Development Center, an agency providing strategic advice to the Secretary of Defense and other national leaders. He has participated in many sensitive projects at top secret level and has served on numerous defense and civil agencies involved in policy formulation strategy including Department of Commerce, FEMA, NATO staff, and government-industry advisory councils.  Dr. Ellison’s business consulting has involved global strategy formulation and technology development systems for such firms as TRW, Boeing, and Lockheed-Martin.  In the field of Homeland Security he is a recognized authority on the interaction of civil-military governmental policy formulation and the application of technology to command control systems.  Dr. Ellison holds BS and MS degrees from Virginia Tech, and a Doctor of Business Administration degree from George Washington University.  He has also served as a communications and electronics officer in the US Air Force and Air National Guard in Germany, and is also a noted public speaker and lecturer to professional audiences in the US, Europe and Asia John serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategist of PFI.
